Direct Seeding Mixes

Direct seeding is an efficient, cost effective and labour saving method of establishing a mixed species revegetation over a large area.  Using seed sourced locally and matching the seed to the appropriate Ecological Vegetation Class (EVC) maximises germination.

  • The Seed Bank can assist in species selection with seed mixes tailor-made for your site.

  • Direct seeding is generally undertaken in the spring (depending on the season, topography or soil type).

  • Typically a 2 kilogram mix of seed will cover 1 hectare.

  • Direct seeding mixes are priced at $75/100g.
